02 十二 08 艾略特诗歌《岩石》中译
上一篇博文引用了美国诗人艾略特的《岩石》一诗，网上只能找到第一节，试译如下，感觉很涩：
T. S. Eliot (1888-1965):
The Rock (1934)
Opening Stanza from Choruses from “The Rock”
The Eagle soars in the summit of Heaven, 雄鹰翱翔在天之绝顶
The Hunter with his dogs pursues his circuit. 牵狗的猎人追踪着猎物的轨迹
O perpetual revolution of configured stars, 星星往复运转，
O perpetual recurrence of determined seasons, 季节周而复始
O world of spring and autumn, birth and dying 春与秋，生与死的世界
The endless cycle of idea and action, 思与行的无尽循环
Endless invention, endless experiment, 无穷的发明，无穷的尝试
Brings knowledge of motion, but not of stillness; 带来知识的运动，而非静止
Knowledge of speech, but not of silence; 语言和词汇
Knowledge of words, and ignorance of the Word. 是知识的载体
All our knowledge brings us nearer to our ignorance, 知识带领着我们更接近无知
All our ignorance brings us nearer to death, 而无知把我们引向死亡
But nearness to death no nearer to GOD. 接近死亡并不意味着接近上帝
Where is the Life we have lost in living? 生命迷失在生活之中
Where is the wisdom we have lost in knowledge? 智慧迷失在知识之中
Where is the knowledge we have lost in information? 知识迷失在信息之中
The cycles of Heaven in twenty centuries 二十世纪的轮回
Bring us farther from GOD and nearer to the Dust. 让我们远离上帝，更接近尘土。

艾略特反动思想译介：
循环不止的思想与行动，
无穷无尽的发明与试验，
带来了运动而非静止的学问，
带来了言传而非沉默的学问，
带来词汇知识，也带来了对语言的无知；
知识带着我们向无知迈近，
无知领着我们朝死亡进发，
走向死亡却决非走近上帝，
我们在生活中失落的生命，今在何处，
我们在知识中丢掉的智慧，今在何方，
我们在信息里遗失的知识，又在哪里？
流转了二十个世纪的天道轮回
让我们离上帝越来越远，离尘俗越来越近。
